Our Classes

The classes we offer at St. Luke's are a combination of developmentally appropriate curriculum and social interaction crucial to your child's early school years. Each of our programs provide all students with a positive school experience where they can explore new things, develop a love of learning, foster relationships with others, and grow intellectually in a safe and nurturing place.

Toddler Program

Through playful interaction, our Toddler teachers establish a loving bond which fosters an environment for early learning. In many cases, the Toddler Program provides the first opportunity to separate from parents for a short period of time and be with same-age peers. Our Toddlers enjoy art activities, music, center-play, outside play, and snack time as part of their regular day.

We are one of few preschools offering a Toddler class and to register, your child must be one year old by May 1st of the current school year. Our Toddler Program hours are 9:30-12:30pm. We offer a 1-day option (Wednesdays) and a 2-day option (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for our Toddlers.

2-Year-Old Program

Through playful interaction, our 2-Year-Old teachers build a relationship which will provide a foundation for early learning and development. In many cases, our 2-year-olds are separating from parents for the first time to spend the morning alongside their peers. Some of the most valuable lessons learned through the year may include: learning to be patient, how to take turns and share, the joy of making new friends, and much more. The 2-year-old develops considerably throughout the school year as valuable lessons are learned amid art activities, music, special programs, center-play, trips to the playground, and enjoying snack time and holiday parties.

To join the 2-Year-Old Program, your child must be two years old by September 30th of the current school year. Our 2-Year Old Program hours are 9:30-12:30pm. We offer both 2-day (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday) and 3-day (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) programs for our 2-year-olds.

3-Year-Old Program

The 3-Year-Old Program reinforces skills learned during the toddler years and introduces more academic skills such as tracing their name, using scissors, and the recognition of shapes, colors, numbers, rote counting from 1-10. Our 3-Year-Old teachers develop specific lessons that help the students develop cognitively, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Additionally, our 3-Year-Old classes utilize the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum. Click on the link below to view a short video about the Handwriting Without Tears program.

School readiness becomes a prominent objective as teachers integrate specific activities for school preparedness. Instilling curiosity and a love of learning happens quite naturally through thoughtful lessons, exciting projects, stimulating conversations, and early literacy activities. Our Junior Kindergarteners have a full and rewarding day with plenty of social interaction as they: collaborate on STEM projects, play on the playground, enjoy art and music, attend special programs, celebrate special holidays, and have lunch with their peers daily. Additionally, our Junior Kindergarten classes utilize the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum.
