St. Luke's Preschool is proud to have been providing quality early childhood education since 1982. Our school has operated within St. Luke's United Methodist Church since its inception. We are a non-profit that meets and exceeds the Religiously Exempt requirements set forth by the Virginia Department of Social Services, ensuring that we retain well-qualified staff members meeting both academic and medical requirements. In addition, as safety for each child is our utmost priority, our building is routinely inspected and approved by local authorities. We have a longstanding reputation of excellence and have received the award for "Best Preschool" in Style Weekly's Best of Richmond several years in a row.
At St. Luke's, your child will benefit from developmentally appropriate experiences within a caring, Christian environment. Our mission is to help each child become a happy, well-adjusted, and secure individual while enjoying a positive school experience. While exploring new things, developing a love of learning, and making meaningful friendships, your child will grow and thrive in a safe and nurturing place.
Why Choose St. Luke's?
We enjoy extra enrichment activities throughout the year, like Stretch-N-Grow Fitness, a petting zoo, children's concerts, and more.
We offer small class sizes with two teachers dedicated to each class at all times.
We are one of few preschools offering a toddler program (under two years old).
We offer separate art and music classes each with their own teacher and dynamic curriculum.
We offer an optional extended day/lunch bunch program until 2:00 for children ages 2 years and up.
Our teachers genuinely love working with young children!
